I collect: NBA, NHL, NASCAR, Star Wars, History, Military, DC Comics, Olympics, whatever interests me

Current project is trying to get at least one card of everyone to ever get one for NBA, NHL and NASCAR. Also working on getting at least one example of every set ever for the above sports. (Wantlists on Cardboard History)

I have some health problems that make it challenging for me to get to my trade stash. It makes me a slow trader as there are some days when I'm simply in too much pain to access the boxes. My health problems are not transferable so you do not need to fear catching anything from trading with me. I generally only can mail on Saturdays.

Trading:

I prefer to trade 1 card for 1 card. I do not care about any made up "book value". I will gladly trade more than one card for some as well...there are a few cards on my tradelist that I do need more than one card for in return though. I only put sets on my wantlist that are close to completion, so if you have something else in any of the three sports or the Non-Sports topics I focus on, odds are I will want it. Only reason I wouldn't is if I had it already.  If you don't have anything from the topics I mainly collect, but I have something you want, I will also accept football or baseball in trade, pretty much anything to get a trade done. I would prefer not to trade with smokers. I have breathing problems and cards that come from smokers are essentially useless to me, I cannot handle them. I prefer larger trades but will do any size at all.

I have tried to make sure all the cards on my Tradelist are problem free, with no corner dings, scratches or other flaws, but I am human and it's possible I may have missed something, but all cards sent out are cards you shouldn't need to worry about ever finding a replacement for. I don't demand problem free cards in return as my theory is that a damaged card is better than no card, but writing and paper loss means to me that I don't actually have that card so please don't offer them to me in trade.

If you don't care about condition, take a look through my "Damaged Cards" collection. These are all cards that I rejected from my tradelist for having flaws but they are available for trade. I would put them at one third a card "value" so 3 damaged cards vs. 1 of your cards. If you do want any of them, let me know and I will move them to my tradelist. I don't want to put them all there and cause matches for people expecting good cards and getting damaged cards in return. Some of the flaws are pretty big problems, some you will probably wonder why I didn't list it in my tradelist. While my collection doesn't demand perfection, I am very strict with condition on cards I send out in trade.

Trading Prioroties: (what makes me the happiest to get in trade, in no particular order)

  • 1995-96 and 1996-97 NBA Cards
  • 1994 NASCAR Cards
  • Any NASCAR card that actually focuses on the car
  • Automotive Non-Sport cards
  • New York Rangers
  • New York Knicks
  • New Jersey Nets (and Brooklyn and New York Nets, but the NJ era is my favorite
  • Elton Brand
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr.
  • Henrik Lundqvist
  • History related Non-Sports cards
  • Attractive women (with or without clothes)
  • Anything from Racing Champions I don't have
  • Team logo cards for NBA and NHL
  • Non-sports subjects in Allen & Ginter
  • People with last names starting with Q, U, Z and especially X.
  • With that said, I will trade for anything at any time, whether it's on my wantlist or not. I prefer "quantity" to "quality" and I'm a set builder at heart.

There are also a couple of specific sets I'm really hoping to complete some day:

  • 1996-97 Ultra (NBA), my favorite set ever
  • 1988 Leesley Bigfoot (the set that got me started collecting)
  • 2002-03 Topps Chrome Refractors (NBA) Refractors are my favorite parallel and this is the closest one to completion
  • 1994 Action Packed (NASCAR) tied for my favorite NASCAR set
  • 1989-90 Marine Midland New York Rangers (just need the cover card!)
  • 1993 & 1994 Skybox The Simpsons (One base card away from completion, also chasing inserts)
  • 1954 Topps Scoop (my favorite Non-Sport set ever)
  • 1953-54 Topps World on Wheels (my favorite automotive set ever)

I started collecting NASCAR trading cards in the mid '90s and kind of phased out of it in the early 2000's. In late 2021, my son was telling me about the prices that vintage Pokemon cards were fetching. So, out of curiosity, I started digging out his old cards--most of which were 1st ed. releases that went from pack to Ultra-Pro pages and haven't seen daylight in about 20 years. While recovering those, my NASCAR collection also resurfaced. Then I found this site at the beginning of 2022, and decided to start working on my collection again. My focus is putting together master sets from the '90s and will continue forward with newer releases as I complete the ones I'm currently on. I wouldn't reject a trade involving cards newer than early 2000s, but currently, I would prefer them to be '90s releases.

Sets I'm currently concentrating on are: '94-'96 Maxx; '95 Crown Jewels; '95 SP; '95 Images; '95 Upper Deck; '95-98 Press Pass, VIP and Premium; '96 Classic Series One; and I have about 94% of the bleeping '96 Wheels Crown Jewels Elite release. I'm not interested in trading out of my collection, but there's a slight chance I could cave if the right cards are involved from my priority wants.

Like many of you, I'm trying to fill my collection via this site. But when I do make a purchase on eBay, etc., I often try buy lots instead of individual cards in order to replenish my sale/trade stock. So it wouldn't be a bad idea to check my trade stock monthly. November-April is when I'm most active on here.

Happy trading!

  • Nascar memorabilia (emphasis is on old Press Pass)
    • Race Used Sheet Metal
    • Hot Threads, Four Wide
    • VIP Tradin' Paint 2001- 2006
    • RU Firesuits
  • Prime / N Treasures - Patches & Booklets
  • Jimmie Johnson
  • Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, Ty Gibbs - Inserts & Parallels
  • Autograph cards are not a big emphasis of mine, other than a few AU/MEM cards.

2024 - I have finished updating my FST list.  There are a few cards that I have packed for a move and are not available but 95% are.

I trade, sell, and buy and am willing to consider dealing items in my collection as well. My want list is limited, but I am fine with offers outside of it.   I am mainly collecting Nascar right now and only JJ in base cards. I will sell at reasonable prices, often at my cost as I want cards to go to collections that want them.

Feel free to inquire, I have matches turned off.  I try to respond quickly, but if I don't, ask again.

Regards, Greg

Hut Stricklin and Tom Peck racing cards and memorabilia; Hooters Girl/Playmate Lynne Austin cards; and Magic the Gathering Vizzerdrix cards, especially in foreign languages.

A Note regarding my FS/FT list: most of myBaseball  "junk era" sets were initially entered prior to the various new variations added since mid-2020, such as Inc/Inc., */**, etc. The system places everything under variation "A" by default, and though I've tried to update everything there are probably a couple of set I've not sorted yet; just ask if want me to check a specific card or set. I have revised my FS/FT list for 1991 Topps; the listed versions are correct for that set, and the cards showing a grade (usually NRMNT) are those with normal backs. The glow-back cards are those listed without grades.

Regarding trades in general, I'm happy to ship and receive by whatever method you prefer from PWE to insured with tracking so long as it makes sense from both ends. Also, I know I have substantially more on my FS/FT list than my Wantlist, but I'm open to other offers if I have something you need. Everything on my FS/FT list is just waiting to be turned into something I collect and I don't mind if it takes multiple steps to reach that end. Here's my general preference for trades:

1. Obviously, anything on my Wantlist;

2. Anything on your FS/FT list that matches the Wantlist of another member who has someting on my Wantlist (which is any Hut Stricklin, Tom Peck, Lynne Austin, or Vizzerdrix card, even if they don't show up; I don't always remember to add things back to the Wantlist after I get them in a trade, but I'm always looking for dupes);

3. Other Racing cards that have at least as many people looking for them than there are listed as FS/FT;

4. Baseball cards that have at least as many people looking for them than there are listed as FS/FT;

5. All other cards that have at least as many people looking for them than there are listed as FS/FT; and

6. I'll consider anything else; coins, cds, dvds, books, memorabilia, fossils, whatever--make me an offer.

Let's make a deal.

Currently collecting "Wheels" brand "Crown Jewels" and probably will be for awhile they made a LOT of parallels

I prefer to trade rather than sell. It takes me a lot of time to add my cards to the trade list. I have a great # of cards for trade that I haven't been able to add yet. If you want to know if I have it just ask.

Any and all car racing related cards (no motorcycles, boats, or monster trucks).  Always willing to trade for cards not in my collection, even if they are not on my want list.

Primarily here for trading, not buying/selling.  Probably will not sell unless you have some offer that I can't refuse (and really unlikely to sell anything out of my personal collection).

Generally not willing to trade cards from my personal collection with the exception of some parallel, autographs, and relics, as long as they meet the following criteria-

1.) Are not part of a complete (or near complete) set

2.) Are not a Kulwicki

3.) I have another card in that same parallel/autograph/relic set.  If I don't have another card from that same set, I may still be willing to trade, but the trade would have to include a card from that specific set.

Priority of my want lists:
1 - Any and all Phillies cards (almost anything not in my collection is a "want")
2 - Various set ventures (baseball - 1972 Topps, 2016 Topps Chrome, Archives, Heritage sets, then hockey sets)
3 - Baseball HOFers (1980s)
4 - Baseball HOFers (1970s)
5 - Baseball HOFers (1990s)
6 - Baseball HOFers (other decades)

If there are any other categories of want lists, they would fall between set completion and HOFers.

I added approx. 90,000 cards available for trade in early 2023.

[The next section has been updated on 3/4/2024]

Note: Currently transactions are ON.

While I have transaction requests turned on, trade proposals will be handled in the order in which they are received. I am continuing to take it slow because I don't have the time or patience to take on too many trades at once. Additionally, I have found that it makes it easier on both sides because the cards are known to be available. And please, when we do trade, please make it so that the postage to/from your location to mine makes a trade worthwhile for both of us. Thank you.

Please also note that I am very much open to selling in addition to trading. If you see stuff you want and don't have anything in return, that's okay. We'll work out a deal that will be fair for both of us, not just me (and not just you, please). (The listings over at the SwamiLee account are in my possession and I am also selling those. The only sport left there is baseball.)
